I bought these large pair of antique Victorian pug inkwell and pounce pot. Did you know that pounce was most often made from cuttlefish bone? It was ground into a fine powder and used to sprinkle onto paper to make it smooth enough for writing on. I haven’t had a pair before. The inkwell still has its glass bottle and they both have their collars.
